Real-Time Push Mobile Marketing Strategy: To What Extent Do Time and Relevance Matter?


The ubiquity of smartphones has disrupted consumer behavior, increasing expectations for personalized, responsive services. Prior research has explored mobile marketing strategies, but gaps remain in real-time and push mobile marketing. This dissertation addresses these gaps through a quantitative study in collaboration with an online marketplace. Findings show that push mobile communication is more effective when it combines real-time relevance and topicality, providing a guided user experience. The study contributes to both academic research and practical marketing strategies, offering a framework for businesses to optimize push mobile communications.
